Good morning,

This newsletter has been delayed in hopes that we would have the September issue of the Collage available for you to download. Instead, we will look forward to it arriving in the near future.

TONIGHT! Join us at our November meeting on November 26 at 7 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau County Archive Center in Jackson. Our program this time will be our own Drew Blattner, Cape Girardeau County Recorder, who will discuss record digitization projects that are ongoing or planned for county records. Many of you have read about these in the newspapers, and now you can hear about more details.

Website updates:
1. The 2017 Collage have been uploaded to the website. Click to go to the Collage
2. The City of Cape Girardeau death record books have been uploaded to the website, Volumes A, B, and C, for the years 1882 through 1934. Click to go to the Books

I am anxious for these documents to be indexed by the search engines! That's a lot of names!

Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving week,

Our meetings are held at the Cape Girardeau County Archive Center, 112 East Washington in Jackson MO, by-monthly in January, March, May, July, September, and November on the fourth Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., unless announced otherwise.
All are welcome to attend.
We welcome contributions to The Collage or volunteers to assist with articles and information for the website. If you have a passion for Cape County, contact us.
