Hello all,

Welcome to 2020!

Join us for our January 28th meeting at 7 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau County Archive Center! The program will be given by Garret V. Kremer-Wright, archivist for the State Historical Society of Missouri. The topic will be ""Hidden Gems in the Archives." If you have thought about researching at the Cape Girardeau Research Center, but didn't know what you might find, come to the meeting and see the possibilities! Hope to see everyone there.

I want to share that I was happy with myself that I had put new content on the website in December, keeping on track with my goal to put something up monthly, but then I failed to send out an email! I told myself to do so many times and then it just did not happen. I think we have all been there.

Maybe you already stumbled on the new content, but if not, please visit the collage page for the 2010 decade where you will find the brand new September 2019 issue and all of 2016's issues. I suppose I will need to soon create a new page for the 2020 decade!

We continually give thanks to Bill for his hard work on the Collage. If you have not thanked him lately, please do so. I am confident he will have the December 2019 issue to me soon and I will let you know when it is up (if not immediately, eventually).

As always, I would like to remind you of the handy search feature that will search the whole website, including the collage downloads. The link can be found on the home page of the website. I know I am always surprised at what I find when I search for my surnames and it will only continue to get better as more content is added.

It's raining, lots, so stay dry,

Cheryl
