With less than one week to go until COP27, we spoke to our President, ex-UNFCCC Executive Chairman Yvo de Boer about his expectations for the event. See his reflections here

We will be hosting an official Gold Standard side event for our project developers and market partners. This will be an opportunity to hear from our CEO, Margaret Kim, and engage with the Gold Standard Team and other market actors during an interactive workshop and networking drinks.

For the robust implementation of Article 6, it will be important to strengthen support and international coordination for capacity building. To this end, this event will share initial experience of capacity building activities across the world, including institutional arrangement for Article 6 authorisations, registry development and reporting.

Topics will include:
- The status and potential challenges of efforts on capacity-building for the Article 6 implementation.
- Sharing of experience from specific capacity-building-related activities in each country and region.
- The way forward for the effective implementation of Article 6.

Gold Standard has partnered with Resilient Cities Catalyst’s (RCC) to develop a new set of standard requirements aiming to incentivise, identify and value projects or portfolios which support communities to adapt for future climate risks and mobilise investments for such projects. Gold Standard is now inviting views from stakeholders on the new Adaptation Requirements.

Feedback can be provided in this online form until 25 November 2022.




Gold Standard worked with AirCarbon Exchange to develop the first Standardised Contract for Gold Standard Cookstove Verified Emission Reduction (VERs) – AirCarbon Household Offset Token (HOT).

The contract went live on the exchange on 10 October 2022, allowing Gold Standard project developers with cookstove projects to list their credits on the Exchange which reaches clients in over 30 countries.
