In today’s Digest, Mariame, a young Guinean girl recalls how she risked it all to follow her friends on the Central Mediterranean migration route, and of her ordeal in Libya.Over fifty returned migrants have launched their reintegration projects in Kolda, Southern Senegal, one of the main areas of return for Senegalese migrants. In Niger, short film competition and workshops were organized in transit centers in the framework of the Global Migration Film Festival. To support youth professional insertion in Guinea, IOM handed over four renovated classrooms at the Kipé professional training center, and  launched a training session for 41 students in the Kitchen-Restaurant at the national training Centre for tourism and hotel Industry. In Mauritania, the construction of the 22nd land border post by IOM (out of the country’s 47 official border posts) was officially launched. Finally in Mali, a local radio raises awareness among youth by sharing information on regular pathways to migrate and telling the truth about irregular migration.
