In today’s Digest, we talk about the challenges of reintegration for some returnees as obstacles can arise at the economic, social or psychosocial levels once they are back. The story of Abdoulaye, from Guinea, highlights some of those challenges. In Côte d'Ivoire, world-renowned photo reporter Reza Deghati trained returned migrants and journalists in photography; this is the first of a series of workshops that will be organized across West and Central Africa. In Nigeria, IOM partners with Google to train returned migrants in digital skills to be used in their reintegration projects. In Burkina Faso, IOM trained twenty participants in welding and mechanics. Finally, read the biannual reintegration report that shows the challenges faced by every stakeholder in the reintegration process. We also discover the latest figures on return and reintegration in the Sahel and Lake Chad Region.
