WAKE FOREST HIGH SCHOOL BOOSTER CLUB MEETING MINUTES: Monday, December 9th, 2019
WELCOME – Marc Wachter called the meeting to order at 7:03 PM. Coach Belcher wanted to thank all booster club members for all they have been doing. He appreciated all the hard work and was very thankful to the members and volunteers who have committed their time.
ATTENDEES: About 11 people attended the meeting and the information is in the notebook with the minutes.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: minutes were shared with the public using Mailchimp and approved.
Secretary, Renae Hill: minutes from the October meeting were shared using Mailchimp.
Treasurer, Bryan Wooten: Checking Account Balance $26,503.43, Team Account Balance $56,715.67, ABC Account Balance ($30,212.24) Marc was discussing different areas in regards to the budget and what is being spent and brought in. Funds needed for supplies for teams and fields needing to be maintained. Looking to add more corporate sponsorships and adding fundraising events to increase funds. Concession stand sales have been great. Profit that was made during Jamboree and fall sports is equivalent to what was made in concessions all last year. $20,000 is what was made for the whole school year in concessions. With the renovation for the field, we will lose money made from concession stands. Football games held at Heritage High School (HHS), the concession stand will be open, but HHS will take a percentage of what we make. We will use their supply, but we will need to have our volunteers helping. Using a trailer for concessions was brought up, but we already made the agreement with HHS on using their concession stand. Gladwell has a vehicle that has a digital display, and we could use that with all of our sponsors names.
Athletic Director, Mike Joyner: Coach Joyner informed all members the field renovation will be seating, track and lighting. The seating will lose 100 seats due to the track being made into 8 lanes. No renovation on the booths or locker rooms. Nothing more to report.
Vice President, Jennie Elias: Jennie is continuing to send out the Sign-Up-Genius to all volunteers and coaches.
Apparel, Stephanie Walker and Karen Lester: Grey hoodies and t-shirts have been ordered from BSN.
Banquet/Senior Nights: Kristen VanViegen: Kristen VanViegen was not present. Marc informed the members that Kristine Bellino will be looking into sponsorships for the Hall of Fame.
Concessions Kristen VanViegen: Kristen was not present at the meeting.
Corporate Sponsorships: Kristine Bellino will be working on sponsorships for the Hall of Fame. Marc would like to see more corporate sponsorships added.
Fundraising Coordinator: Kristin Rendina: Kristin was not present for the meeting. Marc informed members that Casino Night will be held in April. Panther Creek High School had provided us information on what they did for Casino Night. The Booster Club will look into Party Aces for Casino Night. Information was provided on how the band does a fundraiser at Walnut Creek. The volunteers help at shows to raise money.
PTSA Liaison, Larissa Moore: Nothing new to report
Season Passess/Membership, LuAnn Wooten: LuAnn was not present for the meeting. Season passes are in the concession stand for anyone to purchase.
