Let's talk about it

SaaS is still at an early stage marketplace with only 35% of businesses offering their services in a subscription model. However, once businesses develop a SaaS model they can begin to scale at a lower cost with system flexibility.

Businesses are going to continue to rely on data to increase their productivity, enhance their efficiency and provide deeper insights of their customers. Some of the major trends for SaaS products are Artificial Intelligence, API integrations, and branding.

That being said...

The good SaaS times will end and challenges are coming

Tech doesn't fix all human behavior. Just because you build a product that you think will solve a lot of people's problems, the challenge is also getting people to adopt this new way of being able to solve their problems. Because of this, this can result in challenges in increasing adoption.

4 Issues Facing the SaaS Industry in 2019

If you're thinking about creating a SaaS product you are in competition with a wide range of other SaaS tools. That being said, if you're too specialized, you are limiting your potential audience pool. Other challenges that arise within the SaaS industry are customer data protection and storage which come with their own fair-share of tradeoffs.

So think about this...

Your SaaS product is not just a product. It is a service. The companies that will remain triumphant for the future are the companies that allow for ease of communication between the business and it's employers. Building those customer relationships will establish a trusting relationship will keep people staying on your platform.
