You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Isaiah 55:12

Week of December 16th, 2018

Sunday, Dec. 16th, 2018

Greetings in Christ!

Last week we had two very lovely Christmas Concerts! The 1st-4th Grade Classes presented one of our best Christmas plays yet. If you missed it, thanks to our parent, Mr. Larry Schneider, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUNAS_DB2As#action=share

Our EC3, PK4 and Kindergarten Concert was also adorable and there were lots of traditional and festive Christmas songs with bells and sign language. We will have a link for this concert as well. This week on Monday the 17th we will be celebrating our 5th-8th grade Band and Choir Concert in the gym! I hope you can join us!

This is the season of PJ days, Christmas songs, Polar Express, community service and bell ringing. With so many festive activities, we stirve extra hard to keep our focus in the building on the coming of baby Jesus, who will be our Lord and Savior. This week will be filled with fun activities for all of our students PK-8th. One addition to our fun will be an Ugly Sweater Day on Wednesday, Dec. 19th. Students can wear Christmas colors and/or Ugly Sweaters with jeans or comfy bottoms. We will have a prize drawing for all of the students who participate in the wearing of an Ugly Sweater. The drawing will be held at the end of the school day.

Psalm 94:19 — “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”

Have a blessed week!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Crystal Blahnik

The Christmas Season

As the carol “The 12 Days of Christmas” suggests, the Christmas season is not celebrated only on Christmas Day. The Christmas season begins the night of December 24 and ends on the Sunday after Epiphany. December 25 was the date chosen by the Church in the second century to celebrate the birth of Jesus. - Loyola Press

MORNING DROP OFF ANNOUNCEMENT

DO NOT DROP  YOUR CHILD OFF IN ANY PART OF THE LOT OTHER THAN THE DROP OFF LINE UNLESS YOU ARE PARKING AND WALKING THEM INTO THE BUILDING.

We have had two very scary incidents in the last few weeks with small children being dropped off in the back of the large parking lot. In both cases, students were left to wander through parked and moving cars unescorted.  This is NOT part of our morning drop off plan. Please remind eachother (politely) of the morning routine so that we can all get our children into the building safely. We will put extra staff out in the back part of the lot to help remind everyone about the safety routines.
