Weekly Principal Update
May 3rd, 2020

May 3rd, 2020

Dear School Families,

Thank you all for the kind words and messages on Friday, May 1st, National Principal's Day. My heart is very full! Thank you as well for helping to make this coming week one to remember as it is National Teacher Appreciation!

HOLY ROSARY
In honor of May being the month of Mary, Mrs. Lamm (3rd Grade Classroom teacher, room 9) has coordinated a virtual recitation of the rosary. If you would like to participate, please find more information here before this Wednesday, May 6th:  LINK to SIGNUP

MAY 26-29th
Teachers will be scheduled to go into school and package up all of our students' belongings.

JUNE 1st-4th
Students will be scheduled, by the family's last name, to come to school and pick up their belongings. Report Cards will be included at this pickup.

Both of these events will be handled with great care to ensure that we are limiting entrance into the building by no more than 10 people at a time with a 6-foot social distancing expectation. A Signup Genius will be sent out Mid-May so that families can begin to secure their time slot on their assigned pickup day.

LAST DAYS OF SCHOOL
The school will remain in session until the official last day of school, June 4th, however, June 1st-4th will be fun community-building activities rather than graded assignments in order to give our teachers time to prepare report cards. We will do our best to give students the fun "Last Week" feel that they normally get when in school.

END OF YEAR VIRTUAL MASS
The GRACE Principals are coordinating an End of Year Mass, much like the one we did a few weeks back. This will be our last Mass of the school year together. The location of this mass and the date/time is still in progress.

Prevea
Finally, one thing we can all do is wear our simple, homemade, masks in public when we go to the store or are in close proximity to others. It is awkward to do this, but so many of us are making extraordinary sacrifices to make this new way of life possible that this is one easy thing that everyone can do to make a positive impact.

Be the Light!

In Christ,
Mrs. Crystal Blahnik
