Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Dear SBS Families,
As many of you know we have been working intently on our enrolment for the last five years. In 2015 we were at a low of 407 students and this year we are opening with a high of 505. God is Good and Mighty. Thank you all for your support and your belief in what we are doing here at SBS. Together we will continue to thrive and provide the children of Green Bay and beyond, with a strong and true Catholic education - one that will help lead our children to make this world a better place and finding their way to eternal peace with Christ.

SCHOOL HANDBOOK 19-20
The Student/Parent Handbook for this school year can be found on the inside cover of the St. Bernard Catholic School Calendar/Planner that was sent home with each family.

I will continue to share ways that we have an intentional focus on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) here at St. Bernard School. From the PK3-5th grades, you will find the ZONES of Regulation language in our classrooms. This approach helps students obtain the language needed for identifying and then regulating their emotions. This week on September 11th, there will be a 2 hour Webinar about this material. You won't want to miss it if you have a child who struggles with identifying emotions and regulating behaviors.

When we say we "educate the whole child," we are including everything from the inside out. Consider that Christ and the soul of each child is the core value in which everything else within the educational experience is an extension of the core and radiates elements from within.

Because there is so much access to SEL materials now, it is easy to find ways to support our children in these areas at home, and vice versa. To help this two-way conversation from home to school and school to home, I will be adding new materials to this corner each week. I will do my best to locate free resources that are in alignment with our Catholic faith.
