GENERAL UPDATES & REMINDERS


Request for Meeting of Families who Speak Spanish
Ms. Isabel Cabrera, parent to one of our intermediate level students, and I, will be hosting a meeting for our Spanish Speaking parents on TONIGHT, October 15th at 6:30 pm in the PARISH YOUTH ROOM (basement of the parish office building). We are requesting one representative from each family. We are meeting to get input on events such as Dia de Los Muertos, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and to discuss planning a Posada for our families in December.

Fall Pep Rally and Athlete Recognition
All of our athletes will be highlighted on Thursday, October 25th at a Pep Rally in the gym. The details are still being planned but we will share them as we define them.
SCRIP Sales

Athletic Entrance Reminder
Please remind family and friends as we begin to start our basketball season, that the entrance to the gym after school hours is at the back of the school off of Mary Queen Dr. Thank you!

MANDATORY Parent/Teacher Conferences
October 23rd (4:30-8:00 pm)
October 25th (1:30-6:00 pm)

EC3 -5th Grade are Scheduled in 15 minute time slots.

Middle School Conferences: Teachers available in the Gym during the conference times above. First Come - First Serve. Speak with the teachers you would like to meet with.


The scheduled times will be coming home on MONDAY, OCTOBER 15th on BRIGHT PINK paper. If there is a conflict with time please contact the classroom teacher or the main office.  All families have been assigned a conference, even if the sign up form was not returned to the office. 

SHOW YOUR WISCONSIN PRIDE THIS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17th!

Please wear any of the WI team gear with comfortable bottoms to show our pride for our Wisconsin Athletic Teams!

October 23rd (4:30-8:00 pm) and October 25th (1:30-6:00 pm)- MANDATORY Parent/Teacher Conferences - Information for these Fall Conferences will be coming home very soon!
October 25th - 12:30 pm Early Release to make time for Conferences (Mass and Pep Rally)
October 26th - NO SCHOOL - NO SCHOOL MASS
*NOTE: Mass will be held with the students each Friday from 8:45 am -9:30 am unless otherwise specified. 
October 28th (Sunday) Trunk or Treat- 1:00 pm -3:00 pm School Parking Lot. This is an event meant for to provide trick or treating for the families who participate in the event. If the weather is cold and the kids are done, we will close the event early.

November 1st - All Saints Day School Mass, 10:15 am (grades K-4 can come to mass dressed as their favorite saint)
November 2nd - NO SCHOOL MASS - Dia de Los Muertos and All Souls Day - Altar/Table Blessing at 10:00 am in school hallway. Please bring a photo of your loved ones who have passed away.

FREE AFTER SCHOOL CARE 
WITH TRANSPORTATION TO THE BOYS AND GIRLS SITE


The Boys and Girls Club located on University near Sts. Peter and Paul is organizing a van pick up at St. Bernard School every day (M-F) at 3:30 pm. Space is limited to 12 students.
The afterschool program has a $10 application fee, and then all programming is free. Children receive tutoring, enrichment, snacks and meals and social/emotional support.
This is an INCREDIBILE opportunity. If you are interested in how to apply and sign your children up for this program (K-8th) please contact Mrs. Montanye at mmontanye@gracesystem.org or call her at 920-468-5026. Please let us know by the end of this week so that we can begin the transporation.
Transportaion is First Come - First Serve and limited to a maximum of 12 students.

Saint Ignatius Of Antioch

SAINT OF THE DAY - OCTOBER 17th
On his journey to Rome to face his death in the Circus Maximus, Saint Ignatius of Antioch visited and wrote to many of the churches along the way. These letters have become a valuable source of instruction as well as a source of information about the early days of the Church.
