Welcome to BelExpo's first newsletter.


We've been a bit quiet the past few months, but that's only because we've been working very hard on various projects.

We can't wait to keep you updated on the many fascinating things we get up to
in the race to Expo 2020 Dubai, starting in exactly one year.

We hope you'll join our adventure!

The Dubai World Expo will be held from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022. Belgium is joining in on the festivities and will use this unique moment to promote Belgium around the world.

Belgium will be present with an exceptional pavilion by the hands of architects Vincent Callebaut and ASSAR architects. 

You will find our pavilion in the mobility district. Why mobility? Because mobility transforms our lives and reorganizes the world around us. Belgium is moving ahead in the face of these changes and will show visitors from all over the world how Belgian companies are preparing us to live in a sustainable and environmentally friendly world.

We welcome you with open arms to the Belgian Pavilion.

Next month: lifting a tip of the veil 

The first post-Covid19 inspection visit of our Belgian Pavilion. 
We cannot tell you how happy we were to be able to set foot in Dubai again and visit our Belgian Pavilion. We've been lucky to have our trusted partner BESIX keeping us informed about all the work going on. But there truly is nothing more gratifying than seeing the real thing. We would like to introduce you to Alba (Belgian Buildings Agency) and Axel (ASSAR architects) as they stop for a quick snap in between inspecting the construction site.
Next month we will tell you all about our partner the Belgian Buildings Agency, and how they oversee the construction of our Pavilion.
