This past year has been full of unknowns and unprecedented challenges, still our MBYC Junior Program has been able to continue to provide a safe place for our sailors to thrive, on and off the water. While there is still much to overcome, we have found ways to use this time as an opportunity to re-rig, re-build and re-think our program and explore new and better ways to do things.
All that said, we MUST continue to be vigilant in our hand-washing, distancing and mask-wearing efforts. Each and every one of us has a responsibility to consider the safety of our sailors, families, other MBYC members and the surrounding community.
Looking forward, we are excited to see more Juniors than ever applying for positions on our Junior Board and participating in the voting process. We are happy to see so many of our sailors taking the time to consider the candidates and their nominations for the Sailor's Choice Award. It is immensely uplifting to read what the sailors say about their teammates and easy to see what qualities they value in each other.
Please carefully read through the Newsletter and be sure to let us know if you have any questions or comments. There is still quite a bit going on this month. See you at the club!!
