Active Learning: faster and cheaper than before

Most common data science and machine learning techniques rely on huge amounts of data to get the predictive accuracy required to get a model up and running. What happens if data is expensive, or slow to get? This article discusses how we can speed up the accuracy improvement with minimal time or resource cost - active learning!

Data Discoveries

From 0 to Research Scientist

Have you ever wanted to exponentially grow your data science knowledge but don't know where to begin? For this week's data discovery, we present the "From 0 to Research Scientist" guide, a GitHub repo containing a library of free data science resources.

For example, if you've ever wanted to dive into the mathematics of machine learning, you can read up on "Mathematics For Machine Learning" a textbook published by Cambridge University Press. The textbook starts from basics, explaining machine learning and its mathematical foundations before diving into the maths behind your favourite techniques.

This is just a hint of the mountain of information in the repo that you can explore to develop your Data Science knowledge.
