In lieu of a scheduled clean up day, the session has posted a list of things that need to be done around the church so you can volunteer when your schedule allows. If you need a key to access the building outside of office hours let Laurie or Glenn know.  When you complete something on the list, please sign your name on the sheet that is posted on the Sign Up board in the hallway.  We greatly appreciate those who are able to volunteer to keep the church looking nice!
The Kirkridge Scholarship Committee is proud to announce that Jarod Williams has been awarded the Kirkridge Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Moderator, Presbytery of Lake Huron

In her book Sailboat Church, Joan Gray speaks of the need for our churches to stop wearing ourselves out rowing, and to start sailing. When you are rowing, you are always looking at what is behind you. When you sail, you look ahead. Your Presbytery Council would like the Presbytery of Lake Huron to stop wearing ourselves out rowing, and to start sailing.

In order to do this, we need to look at the identity of our Presbytery, our mission, and our vision for what could be if we work together with the Holy Spirit filling our sails.

At the June meeting of Lake Huron Presbytery, it was announced that we would begin a series of listening sessions regarding the future direction, vision and staffing needs of the Presbytery. We began with table discussions at that meeting. For your Council to make informed decisions and plans regarding the future vision, direction, and staffing of the Presbytery, Presbytery Council needs to hear from you and your church.

The next opportunity to participate will be via zoom (see registration information bellow) with in-person meetings to be announced. If you were part of the table discussions during the Presbytery meeting, rather than joining these sessions, please encourage others to participate so that we can hear from as many people as possible.

In the words of the prophet Joel, “Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old [men] shall dream dreams, and your young [men] shall see visions.” – Joel 2:28

It is time for us to be open to visions of what could be, and dreams that can guide us into the future together as a Presbytery.

Yours in Christ,

Rev. Glenn Grant
Moderator, Presbytery of Lake Huron
