Webinar : Mobilizing small spends for social procurement


Leah Hamilton, City of Victoria, will discuss ways to activate social procurement for low-value purchases, including credit card and p-card holders, and share insights from their pilot test.

In-Person Training - Social Procurement for Local Suppliers


All levels of governments are increasingly integrating social procurement into their bid requirements. This session will explain what businesses can expect while integrating social procurement, share stories and examples of how social procurement is being implemented, and outline upcoming opportunities. This session is best suited to goods and services suppliers that are interested in bidding on or have government contracts, and/or are suppliers to larger government contractors.

Webinar : Good Practices: Verified and Amplified


Curious about living wage and other ‘social good’ certifications? This webinar will provide an overview to key certifications such as Living Wage, Buy Social, BCorp and Fair Trade, as a way for local governments to identify social value suppliers as well as a way to incorporate such practices into their own operations.


Webinar : Community Employment Benefits- a local example.


Scott Hainsworth from Comox Valley Regional District will share a recent experience in integrating Community Employment Benefits into an infrastructure RFP. David LePage, Buy Social, will augment Scott’s experience with other examples and general best practices.

Review Documents in the Sync Drive - New Resource!


Have you had the chance to look through the resources drive accessed through the membership portal? There are tons of valuable resources, tools and templates plus folders for each member community that have a social procurement or purchasing policy, and related RFx.

The new resource is an RFQ template for Construction projects under $200,000 with Social Procurement values. You can locate this resource in the Social Procurement Resource and Templates folder.
