Hello beautiful people!!!

We live in a world of go go go that sometimes, we forget to stop and
take a second to appreciate the life we have and the time we get to spend with our loved ones. The Balance Team went to Cabo a few weeks ago. After returning home, I quickly realized that stepping away from the busy, grind-time life for a few days to reset was REALLY refreshing and healthy for me, physically and mentally.

Taking moments to separate myself from my everyday work life was
hard at first but after a couple of days, I found myself learning to appreciate and live in the moment. I naturally had boosts in creativity AND I felt very relaxed. Above all, I learned that sometimes I need to force myself to leave my everyday work life at WORK, even if it’s just for 24 hours. That being said, I felt inspired to keep on with the trend, because for me… it is NEEDED! And it might just be needed for you too.

Steve and I recently took a spontaneous overnight trip to Vail, Colorado, which has been my favorite mountain town since I was little. Here are some recommendations I have for you if you are ever wanting a weekend getaway in the winter, to Vail!
Hitting the slopes to ski or snowboard of course. I will be honest, it is not my favorite thing (although I wish it was) but Steve LOVES it!! It feels so good to just be OUT in nature and appreciating what this world has to offer us.
If you go during “off season” (Nov-Dec 15th), MOST spas are discounted. We went to one of the Rock Resort spas and received 40% off of our services!!
Our favorite restaurant in Vail is Mountain Standard. Everything is delicious. You can’t go wrong!
Craving the BEST hot chocolate IN THE WORLD? Hit up The Westin. They have a restaurant called The Remedy Bar and their drinks are incredible. Be sure to sit outside by one of their fire pits and ask the waiter/waitress for some blankets.
One of my FAVORITE resorts I have ever been to (like… ever): The Arrabelle. Though it is a bit of a trek into Vail village, so be prepared for that. Next time, we may stay at the Westin, since it is such a short walk into town. All about what your preference is!
Tubing and snow-mobiling are some of my favorite winter activities!! You can find so many companies online that offer this!
Last but not least, be sure to pack your swimsuit because NOTHING tops a hot tub session while it’s snowing outside! Add a skinny marg (or that hot cocoa) to the mix and I could stay in the hot tub forever!
So there are some of my recommendations! You can find very similar things at other mountain towns as well! I hope you can find some time to getaway with special people in your life. The reset it provides is unparalleled.

I hope you all have a beautiful week. Thank you for reading and catching up with me!! Remember to create times of serenity for yourself
every single day!
