Hey there Half Step Supporters and Friends! We have some exciting news this month and we are so thankful you’re here to share in it with us!

Non Profit Status

The non-profit filing system can be a little complicated to explain but essentially there are two parts: 1- filling with the State and 2- filing with the IRS for Tax Exempt Status. We completed step 1 in November and were approved almost immediately. Step 2 usually takes up to 9 months to hear back. This month, however, we received our approval for Tax Exempt Status from the IRS! We now have the two legal components that allow us to function completely as a Non-Profit in Colorado! Yes!

How To Pray:

Praise God for His guiding hand through this process of filing and waiting!
Pray for our Board of Directors as they help us steer the "official" Non-Profit ship!

Camp Core Team

We had our second Core Team meeting for camp last week and we are stoked. We are deep in the recruiting process to fill out our team and plan our camp promotion strategy. It's a joy watching this team from different backgrounds and churches work together with the same heart, for the same Jesus. We feel so honored to have these individuals on our team.

God Is Making A Way

As we have been planning how to make Half Step Camp more accessible to students in low income neighborhoods in Fort Collins, it's been on our hearts to offer scholarships. But before we could put any fundraising plan in motion, we received word that a church in town would cover the cost of any students from a neighborhood they partner with, AND a couple we know offered to sponsor 20 STUDENTS! We are blown away by their generosity and how God clearly seems to be making a way for students to be at camp!

How To Pray:

Pray for the students that God wants to be at camp
Pray for good opportunities to promote camp in Youth Groups and in neighborhoods around town
Pray for the other leaders that we still need to recruit for camp
Pray for more churches in Northern Colorado to be a part of camp
Pray for revival to happen at Half Step Camp and for a heart for outreach to rise up in our city!

Half Step at DaySpring

Talks have been in process for quite awhile of starting a Half Step at DaySpring Church with Alicia and Austin (Brayden's sister and BIL), and it appears things are starting to move forward for them to hopefully launch this Fall! There will be lots of recruiting, training, and planning to be done for this new ministry, so please continue to pray with us as they gather all they need!

If you have any instruments that you would like to donate towards this ministry as it starts up, please reach out! Extra guitars, keyboards, amps and drum sets are always appreciated.

Pray for Alicia and Austin as they champion something new at DaySpring
Pray for a solid core team and wider team to fall into place
Pray for God to be preparing the hearts of students that will come to Half Step here
Pray for all the resources that are needed for Half Step to function well
