Perspective of a 4R Certified Farmer and Retailer

Presenting will be Brent Nicol, Agriculture Conservation Practitioner here at The Nature Conservancy. Brent has a background in data management utilizing various precision ag software and looks to utilize his knowledge to make economical, conservation minded decisions on the farm.

Forest Farming Conference : June 24-26
The 2022 Southern Ohio Forest Farming Conference will cover multiple topics, including plant propagation, site selection, mushroom cultivation, timber stand improvement for NTFP production, business planning and marketing as well as edible plants walks. Their is a great line-up of highly experience instructors excited to help participants gain a broad understanding of the many facets and opportunities of forest farming.
Sandusky River Clean Sweep : June 18
The Sandusky River Watershed Coalition is hosting a river clean sweep on June 18th. Volunteers are needed to clear trash from the Sandusky River through the downtown Fremont Area. Please register with Jacob Boehler prior to the event, jboehler@heidelberg.edu. Come dressed prepared for the weather with close toed shoes and sunscreen. Lunch will be provided.
