Effective September 17th, 2022, Hilltop Medical Clinic will no longer participate in the Anthem Blue Cross provider network. Patients with Anthem Blue Cross are welcome at our Clinic. Our cash price for all visits is 130 dollars. Additional charges apply for additional services, such as x-rays, labs, casting, and wound care, etc.
In the interest of price transparency, the cost of these services will be published on our web site, and you will be informed of the price prior to receiving the service, so there are no surprise charges.
Hilltop Medical Clinic has provided essential medical care and an alternative to emergency room care since 1986. These changes are necessary for us to remain in business, for us to remain available when you need urgent care.
We negotiated with representatives of Blue Cross, but there was no interest in addressing our needs or concerns. We plan to publish the letters we wrote to Anthem, so you understand the efforts we made to avoid this decision. We encourage you to send a letter to Anthem Blue Cross with your concerns of not having urgent care available as an alternative to emergency room visits. A sample letter is available on our web site.
We believe our care and service will improve with these changes. We will be able to shorten our waiting time, expand our services, and improve our care. Without these changes, we would not be available to help anyone in our community; we would be just another traditional private practice to close, further compromising the healthcare in our community.
