Colorado Front Range Field Trip for Denver Area Alumni

Alumni and guests will meet at Connie and Roger Knight's home in Golden, CO at 2:00. Around 2:30, guests will be departing for the field trip to the Colorado Front Rage where local geologist Ned Stern will present his new palinspastic restoration of this part of the mountain front. Guests will have the opportunity to travel up Coal Creek Canyon to look at a beautifully exposed back thrust in the basemen and take a spectacular drive on private land to the top of Ralston Buttes.

Guests can expect to return to the Knight's home around 5:00. For those attending the dinner portion of the event, dinner will be served at 5:30. After dinner, Barbara Carrapa (Professor and Department Head) will give a short talk pertaining to the research initiatives of the department.
