Industry leader partners with Ulster University to pioneer new chatbot technology


Shay van Dam, Software Developer at Maverick 

Ulster University have teamed up with Maverick Communications International, an Irish tech company based in County Tipperary, to pioneer new chatbot technology that supports business-to-business lead generation conversations online. Turing AI Acceleration Fellowship Award Part of £20m Government Investment  

Professor Damien Coyle

A leading Ulster University researcher will develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that could help people to communicate following serious brain injuries, thanks to a £20million government investment.

Professor Damien Coyle of Ulster University’s Magee campus has been awarded the prestigious Turing AI Acceleration Fellowship. The Fellowships will give fifteen of the UK’s top AI researchers the resources to work with industry to bring their innovations to the real world. READ MORE



Future Minds Webinar

Maurice Mulvenna, Ulster University, presented at the first Future Minds webinar on Wednesday 2 December 2020. The event focussed on the use of chatbots and digital technology to support young people’s mental health. The network brings together  together young people, academic researchers, health care workers, policy makers and key stakeholders.



Published Thesis for Heidi Nieminen

Many congratulations to Heidi Nieminen from ChatPal Team Finland (on the right) who has just graduated and her Master’s Thesis Artificial intelligence and conversational interfaces in mental health care which has recently been published.



ChatPalTrial Design Update 

Team Sweden is responsible for ChatPal’s ongoing WS on trial design. They recently organised a Zoom-WS workshop [Nov 24] to discuss updates and ongoing progress on design.
