I hope you are well and safe. My fellow county commissioners and I continue to make the health and safety of Palm Beach County residents our top priority.
In this newsletter we have compiled important information on COVID-19 and the measures that have been put in place by the county and other governments in response to the spread of the virus. Please review the information carefully and keep in mind that the situation is fluid and therefore things will change.
I’m working with county administration, local leaders as well as state and federal officials to manage this difficult situation as best we can. We are committed to keeping you informed with critical up-to-date information posted daily on my Facebook page: @CountyCommissionerGreggWeiss.
My office is here for you. If you have concerns or questions do not hesitate to call me or my staff at 561-355-2202 or email us email@example.com.
What you do matters. Please stay home unless absolutely necessary. Stay more than 6 feet away from others. Don’t touch your face and wash your hands frequently and thoroughly.
To further engage with you, I’ll be hosting a virtual Town Hall. You will be able to ask questions and hear from your local officials. We will be posting the time, date and how to access the virtual Town Hall on my Facebook page, so please take a minute to follow me.

The Emergency Operations Center continues at level II – Partial Activation. The partial activation means that selected county staff and partners will work from the EOC to support county operations dealing with COVID-19.
Florida Department of Health (DOH) teams have been deployed to PBI on March 26, 2020 and have begun to coordinate with the airlines and all agencies providing support to their operations, including Airport staff, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, TSA, and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
Pursuant to the directive of the Florida Department of Transportation, the role of airports is to provide support and assistance to the DOH teams once deployed to the individual airports.
Although Airport staff is not involved in the screening process, Director Laura Beebe assures that PBI has been fully prepared to provide all necessary support and assistance to the State of Florida in this effort.
Prior to arrival of the DOH, PBI elected to take a proactive approach to ensuring everyone arriving to PBI would be made aware of the Executive Order and its mandates. PBI asked the airlines to provide incoming passengers information regarding the mandates contained in the Executive Order and to provide this information at the originating airport.
PBI posted information on their social media and website, placed signage in strategic locations to ensure that all departing passengers are aware of the requirements and had begun providing overhead messaging regarding the mandates provided in the Executive Order.
PBI’s top priorities are the health and safety of their passengers, the community and employees.
