Watch Data 4 Nature recordings & register for our peat event

Dear members,

Registration is now open for Peatlands Gathering 2021, a new event to share knowledge and mark the importance of our peatland areas for nature and cultural heritage. Coordinated by NCI and a collective of peatlands community groups and individuals, it's taking place online on October 7-8, 2021 (with Irish field trips, Covid permitting, on the 9th). Book your free place for the online sessions now and find out more below.

If you missed our Data4Nature workshop in May - or want to watch back our presentations and discussions on the status quo of nature-related data - catch up on the recordings and slides below. We are putting together a report with recommendations on ways we might improve access, usability etc of data important for environmental conservation. More news on this coming soon.

Natural Capital Ireland is fast approaching 1,000 members and we'll plan something special to celebrate our organisation's journey, follow our social media for news - we are on Twitter & LinkedIn. NCI is always seeking ways to join up and collaborate with members - so if you are working in academic research please take our survey on NCI Member Research Capabilities & Interests below, and as usual, let us know if you have any input for our newsletter, blog or social media updates.

Hope you had a happy summer solstice,

NEW: Please take our NCI Members' survey on research interests...
To ensure that Natural Capital Ireland is best placed to respond effectively to new research opportunities, and to assist development of its in-house capabilities, NCI has developed a new members' survey to collect details of research interests and expertise amongst our membership in order to help identify members who may be willing to assist in future research and collaboration. You can take the quick, 5-minute voluntary survey here.
Book now for the big peat meet-up - free online event on October 7 & 8
