Hello all,
The Stanford Parkinson's Community Outreach Program has compiled a Benefits of Exercise page to explain why, for those with Parkinson's disease (PD) exercise is medicine.
To ensure those in the Parkinson's community have options to exercise safely during the Covid health crisis, we expanded our lists of PD Exercise Classes LIVE Online and PD Exercise Videos.  
There are SO many options on both lists for all levels of mobility, including balance skills, boxing, cardio, cognitive/neuroplasticity training, dance, flexibility, interval training, kickboxing, pilates, PWR!Moves, stretch and strengthen, tai chi, voice and speech, yoga, and more!
Even though video conferencing (like Zoom) can be tiresome, live online exercise classes are great because they are social and interactive.  Studies have shown that you are more likely to show up and exercise when someone is expecting you.

Sometimes, you can't commit to the regular schedule of an exercise class.  For people in that situation we encourage you to check out our list of PD Exercise Videos.

  • Most programs on both lists are FREE.  
  • We encourage you to pick a few programs you enjoy and rotate using them, so you don't become bored with your exercise routine.
  • We encourage care partners to exercise alongside the person with Parkinson's disease.  Both of you will benefit.  You know it's true. 😉
