Closed Sundays

Dear Friend,

Have you ever cooked with Fenugreek? "When added to dishes and cooked, fenugreek imparts a sweet, slightly nutty, maple-syrup-like flavor reminiscent of burnt sugar." (www.thespruceeats.com) Visit the Library Monday and pick up three recipes that use Fenugreek, and enough of the spice for all three.

A caveat though. The parking lot will be repaved beginning Monday, so you will need to park on the street or in the parking lot behind City Hall. The Library will be open our regular hours.

In spite of that minor inconvenience the first weeks of the month, you will still want to visit the library often throughout all of August. Our Friday Weyenberg Movie Matinees are The Lost City (August 5) and Moonfall (August 19), and our Back to Camp Movie Matinee is Camp Rock (Wednesday, August 17).

There's plenty for children to enjoy. Storytimes on the Lawn are Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10:30am through August 17. Other fun events  (also outside) for children are Hodge Podge Tuesday (August 9) at 1:30pm, Untidy Thursday (August 18) at 10am, and, for teens, Craft Free-for-All, August 18, at 2pm. No registration in required for any of these programs.

There is so much to discover at Frank L. Weyenberg Library. Please visit us online a www.flwlib.org, or visit us in person and pick up a copy of our summer events calendar.

Many philosophers have close connections with social, political, and religious developments of their times.
This quarterly lecture series focuses on examining the historical contexts in which these thinkers were writing.

This series is presented by Gred Sadler and Andi Sciacca of ReasonIO.
It is recommended for adult
 and high school students.
