Good morning, afternoon, or evening,
Have you all paid attention to advertisements lately? Maybe it is just me. It seems like every time you turn around, there is a magic pill that will take care of all of your problems. It will take care of all the belly fat. Yesterday, I even heard one that discussed restoring your liver by taking artichoke extract daily. I’m not discrediting any of these programs. It is just a lot to process and decide what is really the best thing for me. The word that you hear with all of these programs is that your body needs to go through a detox. So that is what we are going to talk about, your summer detox.
I googled the definition and this is what I got.
Detox-a process or period of time in which one abstains from or rids the body of toxic or unhealthy substances; detoxification.
Detoxing makes the assumption that there are unhealthy things going on in your body. So I ask the question. Are there unhealthy things going on in your finances? Could you go through a financial detox? Summer is a good time to take a review of your finances to see if anything needs to be shifted. I say summer is a good time. But honestly, any time is a good time to start looking at your finances. Don’t get caught on when is a good time to start. Now is a good time to start.
For this week:
Identify your unhealthy habit and set a limit.
Examples: Eating out one or two times less, setting shopping limits, or choosing not to use your credit card unless you have the cash to pay.
You know your habits and what needs to be improved. Set the challenge and let me know how it goes this week. Detoxing isn’t supposed to be easy but it will remove the clutter from your life.
