Overheard on Podcasting, Seriously Live
|
|
Joining us last week was Florence Barrau-Adams, an audio/video producer, editor, sound designer, and educator. She is AVID Certified Pro Tools Instructor and an Assistant Arts Professor at NYU Kanbar Institute of Film & Television. Florence shared her best tricks for how to utilize Pro Tools, like a pro.
Learn more from Florence in her upcoming webinar with Podcasting, Seriously Conversational Flow: Editing Remote Recordings on Saturday, November 19 at 1pm ET
Some takeaways from our conversation are:
- Be organized from the very beginning! Utilize folder structures and proper naming conventions to spend less time searching and more time working.
- Have a template–What are going to be the recurring elements? Don't waste time starting every session from scratch!
- Pay attention to your acoustic space. Make sure that you and your guests recording spaces are properly set up–no loud alternative noises, dangly bangles, sirens in the background, or reflective large rooms.
- Know how to use your tools, and focus on storytelling. Make the most of the time you have!
