It's time for summer vacation again, but another year has passed in limited release. For this reason, we had to hold our Conference fully online last June, as well as to reschedule our Summer School for next year. However, even though online, the Conference was attended by more than 80 attendees and more than 50 papers were presented, while the peer review process of manuscripts is ongoing for a few weeks already.
Next September there'll be our plenary Assembly, and I hope this event will be the last with remote participation, because I am confident the worst is behind us, and soon we'll be able to go back to our life.
Lastly, after a very very long wait, the new UIT website is now online in a completely renewed graphic outfit and enriched with much UIT material, mainly recovered with the help of professor Dario Ambrosini. Of course, many other contents may be added and other work is still necessary, so your help to this aim is as important as welcome, but a great effort has been made and I hope you might like our new "home" on the web.
Our new website is live!
As a scientific association, our website is an important link between members and a key way to disseminate our activities.
After months of work and dedication, we are proud to announce the launch of the new UIT website. The new site provides clear information about who we are and what we do. Our main goals are to provide our members and interested readers with a more intuitive and user-friendly experience and a lot of useful information. The site we are launching is a complete redesign from the ground up. Here are some improvements of the new design:
The site is now fully responsive; it can be browsed smoothly on your PC, tablet or smartphone.
Much of the content has been added or rewritten.
The look is more modern and visually pleasing.
Improved visibility and accessibility for UIT publications.
We hope you will love the new UIT website and welcome any feedback you may have.

The summer season is an ideal time for good reading...
Here we suggest the unabridged 1956 Dover edition of the work by Enrico Fermi, Thermodynamics (1937).
