The pandemic has changed lots of our daily habits, but what impact has it had on the way we do and live research? Facts clearly show a general orientation towards organizing research activities in a more individual way than before COVID. However, cooperation in research is fundamental to make scientific progress. So, it is absolutely essential to counter this trend while finding any solutions that allow us to regain as soon as possible these activities in person.
Our Conference and Summer School are pretty good opportunities not to miss!
38th UIT Heat Transfer Conference
The conference website is online. You are cordially invited to participate in the 38th UIT Heat Transfer Conference, to be held from 21 to 23 June 2021 in Gaeta (Italy). Abstract submission deadline extended to 15 February 2021.
19th UIT Summer School "Multiscale modeling in heat and mass transfer"
Director: Alfonso Niro, 10-16 September 2021, Certosa di Pontignano, Siena, Italy
Facing problems in heat and mass transfer which involve important features at multiple scales of time and/or space is a situation that more and more frequently comes up to process engineers and applied physicists. Due to the complexity of phenomena and to the variety of simulation techniques, the tools available to researchers require an in-depth knowledge and specific training that usually fall beyond the MSc programs and sometimes the PhD programs too.
The 19th UIT Summer School allow post-doc and PhD students to cast a glance to theoretical tools and analytic techniques most effective in such kind of problems.
