Hello Friends!
Today begins the Season of Creation!

The Season of Creation starts with the World Day of Prayer for Creation on Sept. 1 and runs for 5 weeks, until the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi on Oct. 4. This year’s theme is “A Home for All? Renewing the Oikos of God.”

Collect for Creation:

God of unchangeable power, when you fashioned the world
the morning stars sang together
and the host of heaven shouted for joy;
open our eyes to the wonders of creation
and teach us to see all things for good,
to the honor of your glorious name;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Why Worship?

A new four-week online study series, coming this Fall!

What is worship and why do we do it?  What do we bring to worship and what does worship bring to us?  How does worship make the Church's life and mission possible?  How did Jesus and the earliest Christians understand worship?

Come learn what the Bible can teach us about these and many other questions, in a new online study series.

Starting on September 13, we'll meet on Monday evenings from 7pm-8pm, using the parish Zoom link.

See you there!

Primate Linda set a goal to raise $2000 for 50 Solar Suitcases for Mozambique!
PWRDF is helping rural health clinics assist in safer births by providing solar energy for lights and equipment in areas where electricity is not available or inconsistent.   You can turn a light on!

Prior to her 1st Hymn Sing on August 25th, she had raised $1855 for this project.  Her current amount raised is NOW at $3,250.  This is from 26 donors.  I wonder how much will be donated still, when she sings again on September 8th?

Will you be listening? Will you choose to make a donation?

A Labour Day Prayer by those Retired

We give thanks, Living God, for the days when we worked for a living;
  For work that satisfied heart and mind,
  For work that made your world a better place,
  For work that put food on the table and paid the rent or the mortgage.
But now, Living God, we give thanks for retirement;
  We give thanks for time with our grandchildren and great grandchildren, our nieces and nephews.
  We give thanks for time to follow our passion; quilting or carpentry, poetry or singing, hiking or swimming.
  We give thanks for time to acquire new skills and explore new places.
  We give thanks for time to volunteer and help those who are housebound, time to help those who are sick or in hospital.
  We give thanks for those who have helped and supported us in trying and challenging times.
As you blessed us, Living God, with jobs that made a difference to   our lives and the lives of others, so we recognize that you have   blessed us in our time of retirement, in our activity and in our inactivity, we thank you.

""So much is conspiring to awaken us to a new relationship with earth...a new relationship with each other. May this love lead us to be persistent and practical and offer prophetic hope in our world."
~Sister Margo Ritchie, Congregational Leader, Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada

Alas, September has greeted us once again and the kids will venture off to school next week.  Stay safe and enjoy your Labour Day weekend!
