1. Stakeholders engagement - Thanks
Thank you to those who attended and participated in this week’s stakeholders engagement, in person or on Zoom.  Monika Iuel, Chief Marketing Officer of WESGRO attended and updated on undertakings that they are currently engaged with.  Then, besides the updates of activations from Visit Knysna, Marlene Boyce, the Knysna Municipality’s Director: Planning & Economic Development, presented on the proposed new format for the tourism function whilst responding to queries, concerns and inputs from the audience. 
2. Visit Knysna Website – Stakeholders Login
From Monday morning, 2 August, you as stakeholders will be able to create your own login and access to your entry/entries on the www.visitknysna.co.za website to ensure they remain updated and current. 

We will do a training session on this as well as on the content on the site:  details thereof will be forthcoming. 
3. Vaccination Site at Premier Resort The Moorings
Premier Resort The Moorings, in partnership with Life Healtcare, is playing their part in facilitating access to the tourism industry and public at large to access the COVID-19 vaccination, having set up a private vaccination site on their property.  If you have medical aid and are registered on the site https://vaccine.enroll.health.gov.za/#/, please support their set-up and encourage your staff and family to get vaccinated so that we can assist the opening of the tourism industry, especially to the international market.   They also have a take-away facility on site at the Salmon Restaurant, should you need the sustenance, before or after having your jabRead more here
4. SANParks – World Ranger Day
Today, we will join SANParks Knysna in commemorating World Ranger Day (which takes place annually and worldwide on 31 July) by honouring their rangers who proudly protect the Knysna Estuary (the most biodiverse estuary in South Africa), as well as the indigenous forest (with the largest continuous stretch within the Knysna area),fynbos and coastal scrub of the Gouna, Diepwalle and Harkerville areas.  They are an integral part of the greater Knysna area tourism community and we thank them for the work they do.
5. Garden Route International Film Festival
The Garden Route Film Commission has opened entries for the Garden Route International (Virtual) Film Festival.  For submissions, read more here
