Summer strategy

After months of waiting, our team planning day finally took off at East Fortune Museum of Flight. It was our first since 2019, when we parachuted the old ways of working and landed on what matters. Here’s a taste of what we’ve decided and done, with the help of a little time, wildlife, sunshine and wild strawberries.

Effectiveness in international development

Things have developed rapidly in the international development world since Scotland's International Development Alliance Effectiveness Toolkit was created in 2014. Drawing on the Alliance's expertise, membership and Lasting Difference principles, we've now revised and refreshed the Toolkit in a brand new edition. Read on for more information, links and training.

Congratulations to Future Pathways

Our latest Lasting Difference Symbol Holder is Future Pathways, Scotland's in-care survivor support fund.
The team have put sustainability at the heart of what they do, creating a quality assurance framework based on the principles and approach of the Lasting Difference toolkit. Alliance Manager Flora Henderson said,

“Within Future Pathways we constantly reflect on difference made and impact. Sustainability is very much an ongoing journey for us.”

We’re delighted them to welcome them to a growing network of Symbol Holders who are proud to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability.

Collaborative commissioning

Future Pathways was the first Alliance Contract in Scotland, a collaborative new approach to designing and commissioning public services. We also supported the second, Glasgow’s Alliance to End Homelessness, working with the partnership's leadership team to frame their successful bid.
