Dear reader, this newsletter is to provide news, updates and general information to our support staff, sponsors and students on the projects and activities at ManSEDS.

PROJECT UPDATE

With the new academic year starting, we invite everyone to join any of the ManSEDS projects: Balloon, Rocket and the EU and UK Rovers.

Mancunian Balloonian

We are ready to test a large-scale prototype Pico-Tracker board and to start building the UAV mechanism, the design for which has just been completed.

Rocketry Project

We've had some successful mini-rocket launches by newcomers, have started research and design for the UK competition, and are focusing on the electronics and programming for the big rocket launch. Our team has also been experimenting with active stabilisation/staging.

Rover Projects

We are still looking for members to work on the projects for the European Rover Challenge (EU) and for the Olympus Rover Trials (UK). Let us know you're interested by filling this form, or find out more on our Facebook page or members group.

LIFE WITH COVID-19

We understand first and foremost that safekeeping our society members' health is a paramount issue. Both the committee and the project teams have made a commitment to hold meetings online and to follow the government's and Manchester Students' Union's guidelines until face to face sessions and workshop access can resume.
