Winter Preparedness
Freedom Warming Centers are availble County Wide during the Winter months. The Lompoc center is located at Peace Lutheran Church, 1000 West Ocean.

In Lompoc we are fortunate that many of our local organizations are offering additional services to ensure our community has sufficient access to food.

This award winning historical fiction follows the story of a club footed, 10 year old girl named Ada, when she bravely leaves the only room she's ever lived in and flees to the English countryside with her little brother to escape the WWII bombings in London. It's a heartwarming story about overcoming hardships and the transformative power of found family. Ada's determination and resilience is inspiring.

The YouthWell.org Youth & Family Mental Health & Wellness Resource Directory can be viewed in both English and Spanish to help families better access appropriate and available resources in Santa Barbara County.

Find crisis resources, therapists, treatment programs, parent and youth support groups, and more. Find books and articles to help you on your journey. COVID-19 tests are available and still important, even if you are fully vaccinated. If you traveled recently, you have symptoms or just need peace of mind, get tested at one of the local testing locations.

The Healthy Lompoc Coalition, established in 2006, is proudly facilitated by the LVCHO. The Coalition is a community collaboration of over 50 organizations and representatives from different sectors created in response to the growing challenges of obesity and physical inactivity in our community. The mission of the coalition is to advocate and support programs and policies that ensure a local environment which promotes and supports healthy living.
