Open DEI final event |
Еha final event of OPEN DEI will demonstrate the results achieved by the entire OPEN DEI community and will initiate interesting discussions on the topic of digital transformation in the 4 focus domains - manufacturing, agriculture, energy and healthcare -: It’s opportunities and challenges.
We will briefly present the key enablers to support companies in their digital transformation: Data spaces building blocks for co-creation Building a data-driven business ecosystem Architectures for digital platforms and interoperability Impact of digital transformation on business
In an interactive workshop we will discuss the sustainability of the OPEN DEI results. We will provide an overview of where we are, what is missing and most importantly, how the missing challenges or gaps can be further worked on.
These conclusions will be an interesting input for the European Commission and a short report with recommendations. The outcome of the event will be a strategic roadmap for digital transformation and data spaces and a recommendation how to move forward. |

OPEN DEI Healthcare cluster obtains CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA) to develop a Good practice guide for obtaining consent |
Multiple European research projects and large-scale pilots found that they were all needing to identify the most suitable lawful basis for collecting and processing personal health data for the development, deployment, testing and evaluation of digital health innovations. This CWA aims to combine the experience of various R&I projects regarding this topic in a best practice guide on how to obtain user consent for personal health information. In many cases they could see the potential value for reusing that data later, after the project, but this potential could be for research questions that had not yet been identified. They therefore needed a multi-layered lawful basis, potentially multi-layered consent, and found that they were all reinventing similar wheels, encountering similar problems and could benefit hugely by learning from each other. After some initial exchanges it was clear that the body of projects collectively had accumulated useful learning that could be shared with others to avoid them reinventing those wheels or making mistakes. |

SHAPES organises its 6th dialogue workshop on November 6th: the potential of digital solutions empowering older people in health and care decision making. |
Digital solutions are frequently pointed out as a facilitator of empowerment, particularly regarding health and care decision-making and action. However, digital solutions are not facilitators of empowerment simply because they exist. SHAPES partners who have studied the complexities of empowerment, partners who have developed digital solutions, and stakeholders from the community with experience in deploying digital solutions will explore together best |

AIDPATH organises an online seminar for "High-speed microscopy for quality control in laboratory and industry " on October 24, 2022 |
High-speed microscopy allows large-area objects to be imaged on a microscopic scale in a very short time. In the semiconductor, electronics and biology industries, the need for microscopic inspection techniques is particularly high, as the increasing inspection of large areas requires an ever faster imaging process. AIDPATH is pleased to provide insights to manufacturing companies, research-based pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology companies about the setup and application fields of high-speed microscopy in laboratory and industry. |

Save the date: new IDSA live session. |
It would be great if diseases could be prevented instead of treated. If collaboration along the healthcare value chain led to improved patient safety and product quality. If we could ensure the best possible healthcare for all citizens in Europe.
All of this is possible – if data sets are brought together along with the highest data security standards. Our experts from the IDS Health community will talk about all this on October 20 in our Data Spaces Dialogue: About our vision of data-driven healthcare, about how important interoperability, trust and data sovereignty are, about how a data space is constructed to ensure all of this. |
