Dec 17 Hearing Set for Lexus Lane Bill MC8-19
Mark Monday, Dec 17 on your calendar.

That's when the Montgomery County Delegation will hold a hearing on a bill that would prohibit Maryland from building "any toll road, toll highway or toll bridge" in Montgomery County without the county's authorization through local law.

The Lexus Lane bill,
MC8-19, is on the hearing docket thanks to the efforts of Delegates Al Car, David Moon, Jheanelle Wilkins and Delegate-elects Lorig Charkoudian, Emily Shetty & Jared Solomon. (Thank you!)

CABE will testify in support. We strongly encourage you and your civic associations to make your voices heard by testifying
(sign-up here) or coming by. (Protest signs up to 8-1/2" x 11" are allowed.)

Other bills set to come up at the hearing will address election law, land use and other topics. (Here's the
link to a full list of local bills introduced by Montgomery County legislators.)
