We welcome into the church family Mark and Kristi McClanahan.
Mark and Kristi run Fayette Fabrication, a family business.  They both sing in the choir!  We are delighted to welcome them into the fellowship of the church.

Brokenness Cross

As a symbol of the healing power of Jesus, we are building a "Brokenness Cross."  On the table in the hallway outside of the fellowship hall is a cross, broken piece of stained glass, and tubs of glue.  Everyone is invited to take a piece of glass (symbol of the brokenness of our lives) and glue it on the cross.  After a couple of weeks, the cross will then be taken to an artist who will add pieces as needed and turn it into a mosaic.  Later in the year, it will be presented back to the congregation.  Help us make the cross beautiful by sharing your brokenness with the rest of the congregation.
Prayer Beads
In Genesis 32 Jacob passionately wrestles with God, seeking a blessing from God.  We used this passage to challenge us to pray with passion and intensity.  We are using small blue beads as a remembrance stones so that every time we see or feel the stone, to pray again for that which lays heavy on our hearts.  We then challenged each other to when we felt God has addressed our prayer, we will return the bead to a staff member as an answered prayer.  The returned beads are going into a vase as reminders of God's faithfulness, that God answers our prayers.  If you need another bead, you can get another from the altar of the church in the fellowship hall and the sanctuary.
With Dana announcing her retirement at the end of the month, we have an open position on the church staff.  The Program Director of Fayette First United Methodist Church is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week) that oversees three critical areas of ministry: hospitality, faith development, and missions.  If you or someone you know are interested in this position, please contact Rachelle, Ken, or Jack Nolen.  A job description is available at the church office.

Thank you!
