2021 Stewardship
October 4th - 25th

The mission team will be meeting to discuss the issues that face this vital ministry. Fishes & Loaves prepares and delivers around 500 meals every month to needy individuals in our community. As you can imagine, this is not an undertaking of only a few. We need to utilize all of our resources to be able to continue as we have in the past and this is becoming increasingly difficult.  We need to find a way forward during these unprecedented times to insure the survival of this ministry.

This will be an open meeting and anyone who is interested in giving their thoughts and ideas are encouraged to attend. If you haven't been involved before, and would like to serve in this mission, you are also encouraged to attend.  All are welcome.

At the end of last week over two days Patrick and I baked some sugar cookies! Baking is something I have enjoyed for a long time and it has been fun to include Patrick in the process ever since he was old enough.  He loves to help and did a great job dumping ingredients into the mixing bowls and using the spatula to scrape the mixer paddle. He also got to use a rolling pin for the first time! Baking with a toddler is definitely messy!
We had a special visitor this weekend! My mom Betsy came for a short visit. My parents moved from my hometown in Indiana to Mount Pleasant, Tennessee a few years ago. They have been enjoying these last couple of years being close enough to share their grandparent love on a regular basis with Patrick and now Julia. My mom works at a public library so she brings books each time to read with Patrick! Ben’s parents live in his hometown of Arab, Alabama so we get to see them too on a regular basis. Once things are back to normal you may see our parents stopping in every so often at a church service or with us around town.
We are celebrating Julia turning one month today (if you are reading this on Wednesday)! She has been starting to make some small cooing sounds. Patrick has been saying lots of new words just in the last week or so and is starting to connect some of them together.
