In response to COVID-19 pandemic and after careful consideration, the Appleton Library will be closed from Tuesday, March 17 through Saturday, April 4. We will reopen Tuesday, April 7 and resume normal operations, if conditions permit.
This closure was a difficult decision to make and was not made lightly as we try to balance the needs of our community and the need to protect the health of our patrons and volunteers.
We ask that you hold on to any items you currently have checked out until the library reopens. Any overdue fees will be waived.
Inter Library Loan Service is suspended. We will be monitoring the situation and resume the service as soon as possible.

- Our WiFi is still available from our parking lot.
- CloudLibrary offers eBooks and eAudios. Maine State Library is working to expand this collection. To access this free resource, go to: https://www.maineinfonet.org/download/downloadlibrary/. You will need a patron card. Please contact me with any questions or if you need your patron card number or a new card.
- Digital Maine Library provides every resident of Maine with free access to online resources that include a collection of full text articles and abstracts from magazines, newspapers, journals and reference. It also provides students, business people, public library patrons, and higher education students and educators the ability to use online learning tools. Go to: https://library.digitalmaine.org/.
