Summer 2020 Virtual Reading Challenge!

There is still time to encourage our young readers to read for a chance to win a Kindle. Sign up and complete one of our 2020 virtual reading challenges through Beanstack before September 7, 2020. We have reading challenges for picture book readers, early readers, and chapter books.

Gary Roberts, on behalf of Union Masons generously donated Kindles to offer as prizes. Please be sure to thank a Union Mason!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Rose & Samuel Library Trust, we added many Juvenile Fiction books to add and complete many of our Juvenile series.

Re-opening on Saturdays 10:00 - 1:00!

We have exciting news! We are now open 10-1 on Saturdays! We have worked hard to implement safety precautions to ensure  the well-being of our patrons and volunteers. Please help us by following our guidelines.

  • Face covering are required. If you are without a mask, we have some available at the library or we have Curbside Service.
  • A maximum of five (5) people are allowed in the library, not including volunteers.
  • Please maintain physical distance of 6' while in library.
  • Please sanitize or wash hands immediately upon entering the library. Disposable gloves are available too.
  • Please limit time inside library to thirty (30) minutes.
  • Children's toys and our community jigsaw puzzle are not available at this time.

Services offered:

  • Feel free to browse our collection and check out our new books.
  • Two public computers are available and will be sanitized regularly.
  • Our printer & copier are available at 20 cents per page.
  • A public restroom is available in the front hallway and will be sanitized regularly.
  • InterLibrary Loan program is now active again for items you cannot locate at our library.
  • Our Book Sale table is now located in the Community Meeting Room.
Curbside Pickup Service
Appleton Library is continuing to offer Curbside Pickup service during the following hours: Monday, 10 a.m. -  noon, Thursday, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Patrons can request item(s) three ways:

Please search our Online Library Catalogue to determine if we have the requested item(s). First time users, you will be prompted to type in "Appleton Library."  No password is necessary.

The Library Coordinator will contact you to confirm your request, availability of item(s), and preferred day & time of pickup. Your item(s) will be available in the gazebo on the designated day.

All borrowed items can be returned in the Book Drop. Any overdue fees are waived. Returned items will be quarantined before we lend them out again.
