January 2020 Happenings: Library Sponsored Events
Thursday evenings, January 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30, 6:00 – 8:00 pm: Tech Assist. Every Thurs. evening, we will be available to help with computer questions, and can help troubleshoot Microsoft and Google Docs issues.
Tuesday evenings, January 7, 14, 21, & 28 6:00 - 7:00 pm: Gentle Yoga Flow with Kyla. Registered students only. Next session starts January 7th for 6 weeks. Register online at https://journeytohealth.coursestorm.com.
Wednesday, January 15, 7:00 - 8:00 pm: Annual Library Board Meeting followed by our Monthly Library Board Meeting. We will hold an election for two vacant Board positions, and vote on the library budget. All are welcome!
Tuesday, January 21, 3:00 – 4:00 pm: Fiber Arts Tuesday. Itching to complete that fiber arts project? Come and stitch with us on the third Tuesday of every month.
Saturday, January 25, 5:00 - 7:30 pm: Souper Supper & Cake Auction with Rosey Gerry. Our biggest annual fundraising event offers tasty soups and delectable cakes. Performance by Callahan Bridge--fiddler Raelin Callahan and guitarist Kevin Callahan. Let us know if you are interested in donating cakes and/or soups. The event will be held at Appleton Village School located at Appleton Village School is located at 737 Union Rd (Route 131).
Weekly Children Activities: Saturdays at 10:30 am: StoryTime for children of any age!
Community Events at Library:
Monday, January 6, 7:00 pm: Appleton Historical Society Monthly Meeting. Zachary Fowler, who was the winner of the survival contest on the History Channel's "Alone" show by living off the land for 87 days in Patagonia, will be the speaker. It promises to be an interesting evening.
