Annual General Meeting April 23
Thank you to everyone who attended.
Outgoing TSA President, Claude Moore, started his report with "Wow! What a year it has been!" How true that is. We started the plan in July for the Canada 55+ Games in record high temperatures. And now, that we are trying to get the ice out after shutting the plant down it continues to drop to freezing temperatures overnight. Mother Nature has not been cooperative this year!

Claude reported on the state of the club plus highlights from the fun events, spiels and social events in Dufferin Hall.

He thanked the TSA Ladies Association, Crystals and Riverboat Men for their generous donations to the club.

Claude noted we had lots of celebratory cakes this year with many of our club curlers (including himself) going to National Championships.

And finally, he thanked Joanne Freeze for her tireless contributions to the club. Joanne has now finished her term as Past President. During her tenure the club got a new bar and most importantly to a curling club, a new compressor and all of the members owe her our thanks.
Cathy Graham presented the financials for the club. She gave a "shout out" to Charlie Sullivan and Leah Thompson for their work on the Learn to Curl program. This program attracted many new members to the club and help keep our club growing.

Joanne Freeze presented the nominations and called for a vote on the new Board Members. We welcome Kevin Babin as 2nd VP, Doreen Tait as secretary, Gary Mitchel as Building and Facilities Director.  And many thanks to outgoing Directors Mark McKinnon and Nick Munn.

The meeting concluded with a big round of applause and standing ovation for Claude. He spent many hours doing every job possible at the club during this past year!!

And you thought putting ice IN was hard...

Mike, Bob and some dedicated volunteers have been chipping and removing ice during this unseasonably cold Spring. Almost done!
