Services This Week at Annunciation

Dear Faithful of Annunciation,
As we continue to worship while still adhering to COVID-19 precautions and safety measures, please remember that regular social distancing and wearing of masks will be closely followed on our parish grounds.

It has been wonderful to see you back in church, and to hear your voices as we prayed to Christ, our Immortal King and God!

We are called to increase our prayer life and fasting during the season of Great Lent, so that we are prepared to die and be resurrected with our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Beginning today, March 15th, on Kathara Deftera/Clean Monday, please join us to pray the prescribed Lenten services throughout the season of Great Lent:

  • Great Compline | Every Monday at 6:00 pm
  • Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts | Every Wednesday at 6:00 pm
  • Salutations to the Theotokos (Χαιρετισμοί) | Every Friday at 7:00 pm

If you are able, healthy, and comfortable, we invite you to pray and celebrate with us, in person, in church.  Masks, contact tracing, and social distancing protocols will, of course, be in place. Thank you again for being flexible and cooperative as we carefully navigate this time together.
As always, our services will continue to be broadcast via our live-stream.

Following the Great Compline, join us in our church building or via our live-stream for a Lenten Reflection from our clergy.

A blessed Great and Holy Lent!  Καλή Σαρακοστή!

With love in Christ,
Fr. James Retelas
Presiding Priest

The Homily offered by Fr. James Retelas on March 21, 2021.
Every week in our Sunday Bulletin, This Week at Annunciation e-mails, and on our social media platforms, we will feature important events in the history of our Parish! Don't forget to check back weekly to learn more about Annunciation over the past 100 years!
On March 22, 2020, for the first time ever, our church is closed because of the pandemic outbreak of the COVID-19 virus.
To celebrate Annunciation’s 100th Anniversary, we are preparing a celebration album to convey the history of our Church, its organizations and wonderful families. Instead of advertisements or “best wishes” pages, we’d like our parishioners to submit their family history and treasured photos to help us tell Annunciation’s story for generations to come. We also encourage our church organizations to submit their history and contributions to Annunciation over the decades. Please submit your story and photos from March 15 through June 15, 2021.

Weekly Lenten Reflections
Join us every Monday in our church, or online, immediately following the Great Compline for a brief Lenten Reflection offered by our clergy.
For the first time in our Parish, we welcome our Metropolis Chancellor, Bishop Ioannis of Phocaea.  We extend a warm welcome to Bishop Ioannis as he serves with us!  He will join us for Great Vespers on Wednesday evening and the Divine Liturgy on Wednesday.
