Pray with us the Divine Services for the

16th Sunday of Matthew

Dear Faithful of Annunciation,
We invite you to worship, celebrate, and partake in the Body and Blood of our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ, this Sunday, February 7thin our Plateia/Courtyard to celebrate the Divine Liturgy for the 16th Sunday of Matthew.
If you are able, healthy, and comfortable, we look forward to praying and celebrating together as one parish family.  Masks and social distancing protocols will, of course, be in place. Please don't forget to dress warm!

As always, our services will continue to be broadcast via our live-stream on our Parish Website, Facebook, and GOACH App.

With Love in Christ,
Fr. James Retelas
Presiding Priest

In today's Gospel lesson, we hear the familiar parable of the master who gives his servants various amounts of talents.

God has given us all different talents, and He expects us to take these talents and use them to their fullest worth. For that we need energy, watchfulness, and perseverance.  We cannot hide these gifts.  Faith that is hidden, that does not result in acts of devotion and service, is like the buried talent.  It is a terrible thing to waste!
It is our role as stewards of God, to give the talents, the gifts that He has given to us, back to God for the glory of God!
No words from strangers or friends compare to the words of the Master when He says to us: “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master"!
