On this, the 25th day of the month, is the Nativity according to the flesh of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ! To Him be glory to the ages of ages, Amen!
"What shall we offer you, O Christ, because you have appeared on earth as a man for our sakes? For each of the creatures made by you offers you its thanks: the Angels, their hymn; the heavens, the Star; the Shepherds, their wonder; the Magi, their gifts; the earth, the Cave; the desert, the Manger;
and we, a Virgin Mother. God before the ages, have mercy on us!"
What is Christmas? Christmas, the Nativity of Christ, is God speaking to us - the Word has become flesh. All of creation and people from all walks of life, the heavens, the angels, the earth, the shepherds, and the magi (wise men) offer their gifts. We too are called to come to Christ and offer OUR gift; our open hearts, to learn and to love, that we may receive Christ into our lives!
May Christ our God, Who was born in a cave and lay in a manger for our salvation, have mercy on us, and save us, Amen!
Christ is Born! Glorify Him!
