Join us this evening at 6:00 pm to pray the beautiful and poetic Small Paraklesis (service of supplication) to the Theotokos, the Mother of God. As we chant the beautiful hymns and reflect on the prayers of the Virgin Mother to her Son and our God, may we pray especially for peace in the world, for a guide and protectress, and for health of both our souls and bodies. In the words of Archbishop Nikitas, taken from the service book for the Small Paraklesis titled, Our Great Intercessor...
"Together with the author [of the service of the Small Paraklesis, Theosteriktos, also called Theophanes, the monastic] we who cry out to the Theotokos join in petitioning the one Full of Grace, and are not left in despair.
