Out of The Ashes
April 8, 2022
Starry Story Night was a fantastic event on Wednesday night that entertained the young and old alike! The Children's Center and the Church, to celebrate, Read Across America, teamed up to present an evening of extra special readings.

Mr. Johnny, along with a visual representation, read a farm favorite, The Little Blue Truck. The children loved seeing Johnny dressed up like a farmer and hearing all his animal sounds. Pam read the sweet classic, Somebunny Loves Springtime, and Diana captivated children's fascination with a butterfly's emergence by reading Eric Carle's, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. All the children loved the books about animals and the "foods" they love to eat. The Foodie Flamingo, a book about a culinary fowl, was read by Joyce, and the kids "roared" when Denise read, The Dinosaur Who Discovered Hamburgers. I "set sail" in a bandana with my first mate, Kelsey Nichols, reading How I Became A Pirate. A story about a young boy who takes an adventure with Braidbeard, the friendly pirate.

Pajamas, cookies, and volunteers made Starry Story Night a night we will all remember! Don't forget to join us for Palm Sunday, the Potato bar, and the Egg-stravaganza Egg Hunt!

Blessings and Happy Reading,

Saints, she kept me in line, and that says a lot! Sheree sends her love and thankfulness for your special treats, gift cards, visits, words of hope, encouragement, and prayers. Please continue to hold the Scott Family in your prayers.
