Phew! We made it!
Wow what a year it has been. Worldwide, it’s been huge. Starting with bushfires that saw much of our country on fire, to COVID shutdowns and managing lockdowns. We saw a historic US election, pro democracy protests in Hong Kong and may yet see a Brexit deal after 4 years.
At Volunteering Victoria its been a big year also. We’ve supported a cohort of scholarships for the Certificate IV in Coordination of Volunteer Programs for the first time, run CPD for the second time and seen it launch nationally, launched VolPoll and the State of Volunteering report. We’ve provided you with sector specific information on COVID-19, launched weVolunteer and held online National Volunteer Week and State Awards ceremonies which have allowed us to showcase the resilience and innovation of our sector.
Speaking of innovating – we know you all have been doing just that. Writing COVID-safe plans, designing online volunteer roles and doing everything that you can to keep volunteers supported and safe in contributing to our community.
Its never too early to start locking dates in the diary so our last Engage and Exchange for the year focuses on ways to engage in 2021.
We are ready for a break, (and I’ll bet you are too!) but brimming with new ideas for how we can continue to support you in the year ahead.
