Egyptian Health Department was notified on March 26, 2021, of 6 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

Saline County
Female: 2 in their 20’s
Male: 1 in their teens

Gallatin County
Male: 1 in their 30’s
-
White County
Female:1 in their 20’s
Male: 1 in their 40’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,565 lab confirmed positives, including 50 deaths, White County has had a total of 1,742 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, and Gallatin County has a total of 493 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test-- 𝙋𝙊𝙎𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙀 or 𝙉𝙀𝙂𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙀-- you should still 𝙄𝙎𝙊𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙀 until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 3,002 new confirmed cases and 33 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,232,900 confirmed cases and 21,203 deaths in Illinois.
